Silver is a fine, naturally occurring precious metal with an almost-white sheen that is used for many purposes including jewelry making. Ordinary sterling silver is a mix of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Developed by Peter Johns for Argentium® Silver Co. Ltd. in the United Kingdom, Wire-Sculpture's argentium® sterling silver wire replaces some of the copper with the element germanium, and by definition, Argentium® never contains less than 93% true silver. The germanium, coupled with the silver and copper, creates a fine piece of anti-tarnish silver wire that your customers will love to wear!

For more information on silver, check out Mary W. Bailey’s article on silver here.Wire can be the glue that holds your jewelry together, or it can shine as the focal point for the entire work. Whether you’re into chainmaille, beading, wire sculpture and wire jewelry making, or even name writing, we have the perfect wire for you. Sorry, no returns/refunds/exchanges on gold or silver wire products.
