Sonja Kiser
While on a business trip with her husband, Sonja discovered an article written by Dale “Cougar” Armstrong in Step-by-Step Wire Jewelry Magazine. The article intrigued her so much that she contacted Dale and began taking classes at ‘Cougars Creations’ studio.
Sonja has a Master’s Degree in Studio Art and presently teaches art at the middle school level. She has previously exhibited and worked in a variety of art media including watercolor, pencil, and photography. Before venturing into the world of wire, she had previously exhibited and sold jewelry made from wood and oven baked clay. Sonja now admits that making and creating her own wire jewelry designs is her favorite artistic endeavor, as she loves taking an idea or inspiration and forming it into a piece of wearable art. She credits her love of creating wire jewelry to the teaching and encouragement from Dale.
Sonja has recently published her first wire jewelry pattern in Step-by-Step Wire Jewelry, and also has a design featured in Dale’s new Book “Wirework.” Sonja resides in eastern Kentucky with her husband and their son.

Dear Ms. Kiser,
Thank you so much for your genorosity in sharing such a beautiful design with us.
I made your design with square Argentium wire and Turquoises I had. I love the finished result so much that I am just starting another pair with Aquamarines I have.
I think I may even make a variation as the design is so inspiring.
Again, thank you so much for sharing your craft with us.

Thankyou so much for your generosity, I am excited about making your design. You have given a valuable gift of inspiration. Thanks so much.
HI Sonja,
I have so been inspired by your designs, and am purchaseing your dvd’s from Wire-Sculpture. Dale Cougar Armstrong was my first dvd instructor, and I admire both of your talents. I just wanted to say thankyou, for sharing your ideas and techniques, they are very very beautiful, and I cannot wait to get started! I was wondering if you will be coming to Seattle along with Dale, I would be certainly star struck for sure… If not, are you planning to have some of your own workshops? I believe that you should, you are so talented. Again thankyou for sharing your talent with all of us “wired” fans… I am going to start my own little business, it will be called PerryWinkleHill.. Using my 2 last names and Whintey is my middle name, so I thought that Winkle kindof went along.. I see that there are shells called perrywinkle, and I am going to incorporate them in some pendants and bracelets. Also, making perrywinkle flower earrings and bracelets, using CZ’s and pearls.. any ideas! Thank you again Sonja, for sharing..
Best Wishes,
Terri
