Question:

While finishing wrapping a cabochon the very side edge of the stone broke off.  Is there any way I can still wrap this stone and cover the raw edge, and what would I use?

Answer:

Depending on the length and width of the fracture, it could be hidden by incorporating a beaded wire into the frame, running along the chipped edge, and tied into the bail wrap; or use the second wire down from the top of the frame while wrapping, add beads to it and then put it back into the main frame. Either way, I am sure the piece will turn out nicely.
