<description>Square wire can be used as well as half round. Round wire is useless for wrapping, as it will not stay straight, rolls around, and does not wrap straight. These folks have square and half round, and wire-sculpture.com may also have it.

<description>I had the same problem before and found that wrapping by using my fingers was not tight enough. So I started doing my wrap with flat nozed pliers which cured my problem. I go back and tighten the initial hook that I started with because it is always looser than the succeeding wraps.

Good luck and God bless you

<description>Instead of using craft wire to wrap, try using square copper wire. It is very inexpensive and does the job quite nicely. The copper wire does not have all guages in square, but the ones that are available, will work with most of the instructions for projects you would be using it for.
