Thank you for some fantastic ways of storing while traveling. We are laking about going on a road trip for a few months and these storage tips will be invaluable. Sharon
I like to carry my tools with me. The security agent suggested that I put them in a freezer bag so they can easily be seen when I go through security. They can be measured and deemed okay. They are heavy, but they don’t take up a lot of space and I don’t have to worry about them disappearing.
Another great storage compartment is from Home Depot. Look in their nail and things storage units and you should find a unit that contains 4 storage cases with dividers that you can place any way you want. My units are the famous Home Depot orange and the storage units are contained within it. It has a handle for you to use and I also label want the contents are in each storage container. I own 12 now and when I am traveling I can pull the storage containers I want to use and place them in one unit to take with me. They are a great value at about $10.00 each.
Could you please tell me where you get those wonderful containers that fold out to the side? I have been trying to locate them without any success. Thank you loads.
Try looking on the Internet first, by searching for hobby and craft supply stores; check out what they have and then either place an order on-line or go to visit the store in person, where you can see before you buy.

Another great place for storage containers is Walmart in the sporting goods department. The Plano , and other brands, clear plastic flat containers have adjustable dividers and can be stacked or fitted into the various carriers. Make sure you know what you will be using each one for, like if you need to slide small beads out using your fingers, make sure there is no lip on the individual compartments. I love to shop those areas in hardware stores also. Have fun organizing, it’s a continuous “chore”.
The storage container that Cindy Stanley uses is great. I would recommend it highly. The 4 containers are great for storage, they’re easily transportable and they are so reasonably priced: $10 for the whole thing. I only wish I had found them when I first began so all my containers would uniform and so easily transported.
