Question:
Hi Dale! I love your Beginner Series Part 6 DVD! I noticed your necklace you are wearing on the video and was curious what gauge and temper you used to make a more, for lack of better words, softer chain. I like the collar necklace featured on the video, but have some customers that prefer a longer, softer necklace. Thanks for your help.

Answer:
Thanks Gloria! The best advice I can give you about how to make a more fluid necklace (in any length you choose) would be the Viking Knit. In her 3rd DVD, Albina Manning makes creating a Viking Knit necklace very easy to understand, including how to use a draw plate, as well as how to finish the necklace!

I LOVE the Viking Knit and was amazed at how EASY it is to weave. I even taught my 12 yr old how to make it and she’s been going to town with it. It’s very supple even when you pull it through a draw plate many times!
