What can I use to prevent tarnish resistant wire from turning color?

Answer:

Any wire can be kept clean for long periods of time, by storing it in a plastic bag.

    Another idea you can use are the little packs of silica gel that you might find inside of new leather shoes when you buy them or some food products where the gel packs are used to keep moisture out of food items. Plus, there are anti-tarnish strips you can buy that add in preventing tarnish and come in very handy when storing wire or finished pieces in a sealed platic bag. The anti-tarnish strips aid in adborbing atmospheric gases than can promote tarnish.

    A very cheap and easy way to keep from tarnishing or changing color is to put your jewelry/wire in a zipper baggie with a piece of blackboard chalk. I was also using some tiny old keys in a project and put them in some talcum powder and shook them up and it worked to clean them as well!
