Blue Puya Double Drop Earrings

Double drop earrings, for double piercing, have been trending for quite a while now and I've been itching to make some. You just need 2 holes per ear lobe. You could make these earrings using a post finding instead of the hoops I used in this sample. It depends on your aesthetic. You can also alter the chain lengths to adjust to your ear-lobe to neck ratio! Some have longer necks and wear longer chain lengths comfortably, others not so much. I used very small lightweight chains in this design so the weight wouldn't be too heavy. One of the great aspects about this project is you can mix and match your crystal colors and chains for endless color combos.

Instructions

Step 1

Slide a crystal onto an eye pin and make a simple loop at the top. Repeat for all 4 crystals.

Step 2

Cut two 2" pieces of color A chain (I used silver in the sample). Cut two 3" pieces of color B chain (I used gunmetal in the sample).

Step 3

Open one of the loops of the green crystal link and slide the end loops of both colored chains into the loop and close the loop. Repeat for 2nd earring.

Step 4

Open one of the loops of the blue crystal link and slide the end loops of both colored chains into the loop and close the loop. Repeat for 2nd earring.

Step 5

Slide the green crystal loop onto an earring hoop. Repeat for 2nd earring.

Step 6

Slide the blue crystal loop onto another earring hoop. Repeat for 2nd earring.
