Instructions
Step 1
Measure and cut 6 inches of craft wire, using the flush cutters. You can adjust the length of the wire for the size you're making. If you need larger than a size 7, make the wire longer. Conversely, shorter for smaller sizes.
Place the middle of the wire around the ring mandrel at your ring size. Wrap the wire around the mandrel to start to find the base shank of the ring. This is the start of shaping the ring shank.

Step 2
Thread one end of the wire through one set of the bead holes. Thread the other end of the wire through the opposite side of the bead holes. Place the ring back on the mandrel to re-shape as needed.
Step 3
Face the bead toward you, hold one side of the wires with the chain nose pliers. Use your finger to gently bend the top wire down over the ring shank wire, then up through the center of the ring wire.
Step 4
Continue to hold one side of the wire bead. Use the round nose pliers to bend the wire up and over the front of the ring wire. Twist it around and up through the center again, staying close to the wrapped wire. Make two loops around the ring wire.
Step 5
Use the flush cutters to cut the remaining wire close to the inside of the ring. Use the chain nose pliers to gently flatten and smooth the wire end.
Place your ring over the mandrel again to make sure it is still the same size, adjust as needed.
Repeat this process with the remaining side. Cut off remaining wire, flatten and smooth the wire ends. Adjust on the mandrel.
