Kristal Wick's JT in Concert Necklace, Contemporary Wire Jewelry. Making Chain, Chain Making . Inspired by the color pallet of a picture I took at a recent James Taylor concert, this piece was born! I used a combo of gemstones, Czech glass and crystals for this piece.

Inspired by the color pallet of a picture I took at a recent James Taylor concert, this piece was born! I used a combo of gemstones, Czech glass and crystals for this piece. It's a lot of wrapped loops so even if you're not good at them in the beginning-you will be by the end of the project! Of course, I had to use an actual guitar pick for the focal and a little musical charm for an accent.

Instructions
Step 1
Starting with the outside strand, use your wire cutters to cut pieces of 3" wire (20 total) and make a wrapped loop (wrapping twice) on both sides with an 8mm crystal to create the first link.

Step 2
Create a 2nd wrapped loop link and slide the 1st link into the loop before you make the second wrap. Then complete the second wrap. Continue to do this until all 20 links are connected.

Step 3
Repeat Steps 1 & 2 using twenty-two 8mm rondelles (faceted glass rondelles were used in the sample).
Pro Tip: You may add another link or two depending on how nicely the strand fits length-wise with the 2 other strands.

Step 4
Repeat Step 1 & 2 using thirteen 10mm cylinder shaped beads (square lapis tubes were used in the sample).
Pro Tip: You may add another link or two depending on how nicely the strand fits length-wise with the 2 other strands.

Step 5
Connect each strand to the connector using a jump ring. Repeat for the other end.

Step 6
Attach chain to the connector (use a jump ring if the chain links are closed). Repeat for the other end.

Step 7
Attach toggles to each end of the necklace using jump rings.

Step 8
Attach focal to the center of the 1st strand using a jump ring (a guitar pick and charm were used in the sample).
