Stainless Steel Half Persian Bracelet

The half persian 4 in 1 chain maille weave has a slinky snake like feel and is great for stand alone chains. The rings in this bracelet are made with square wire which adds to the reflective nature of the pattern. This weave is easy to do once you master the basics.

Instructions

Step 1

Place 3 closed rings on an open ring and close the ring. The position of the rings to begin this chain is important. Hold the single ring that has the 3 rings hanging from it and set the rings down on your work surface with the 3 rings in a step pattern with the right hand ring on top. They should naturally fall into this pattern. Take the left hand ring and flip it over so the opposite side is now facing upwards and place it under the edge of the next ring so it is on the bottom of the step pattern.

Step 2

With an open ring go down into the space where rings 1 and 2 cross and come up in the middle of the 3rd ring, add a closed ring and close the ring.

Step 3

To add rings to the chain, focus on the last 3 rings named 1-3 from left to right. Weave a ring down through the space where rings 1 and 2 intersect and bring the ring up through the third ring, add a closed ring and then close the ring.

Step 4

Continue to add rings until you have only 1 large ring left. To finish the chain you weave in an open ring as before but don't add the closed ring. This gives a nice finished, even edge with 2 rings close together for the clasp to attach to.

Step 5

Attach the clasp with the small ring to the beginning of the chain going through the 2 edge rings
