Seraphinite is a fairly soft gemstone, and comes from the mineral chlinochlore. Seraphinite is named for the stone’s inclusions’ feathery appearance (think seraph, or seraphim), and comes from a small mine in Siberia. The feathers in seraphinite gemstones are chatoyant, or light-reflecting, and the stone is dark green.
