What a great idea! I particularly appreciate having the ruler placed on the bottom of the mat. I can not tell you how many times I get up and go charging off in search of a ruler! My work bench has a long ruler taped along it, extra long in case I am working on an extra long project. My project bag has several small measuring devices, including tape measures, small rulers, etc. but no matter how many I have, I often find myself working on something, sitting comfortably beading away while watching the television, or chatting with visitors, and no where near those places where I would normally be, where the rulers are! This would help ever so much!
