Color Inspiration - French Blues

A friend was invited to spend time in the French countryside with her plein- air painting group. This painting is one of the pieces of work she produced while she was there.

Blues of the field and sky influenced my wool bead necklace. The landscape theme with light wispy blues, turquoise gate posts, a deep purple field, and golden highlights from the barns roof and back field make for a quiet scene.

It is the softness about the painting that had me choose my wool beads. This necklace with a kyanite pendant is wire wrapped with silver colored wire. The brass bead highlights the barn roof colors, the charcoal blacks look into the mountains toward the back of the painting. The beads are double loop wire wrapped and connected by jump rings. It is held together with a magnetic clasp. French blues can just brighten the mood.
