Creative Metalsmithing from Scratch with Kim St. Jean
Natural turquoise is a medium-soft stone. Don’t keep your turquoise cabochons in airtight containers; turquoise gems should only be worn after applying hairspray, sunscreen, and any other cosmetic products, as they could damage the stones or the color. While turquoise is found all over the world, major sources are Iran, the Sinai Peninsula, and the Southwest United States. We stock African turquoise as well as Kingman turquoise from the Kingman mine in Arizona. We have both natural turquoise and reconstituted turquoise for every budget. Find out more information on turquoise at our All About Turquoise page! Don’t forget the matching turquoise beads!
